Lucky duck Paris Hilton.
Guests of the VMAs obviously like music, so they've received the Altec Lansing inMotion portable audio system. These are tiny little speakers with a big sound, made for use with the iPod. It even matches the color scheme of the mini iPods, also included in the gift bag. If you're wondering how these celebs are going to keep that iPod looking adorable and scratch-free, Kate Spade has contributed a custom mini iPod case. Now that is stylin'.

Adorable mini iPods for music lovin' VMA guests.
Also in the gift bag were Anthony Logistics For Men products, for the well groomed male guest. Babor, a line of skincare products that understands the sensitive nature of your skin, provided a few of their products; they moisturize the skin of the VMA guests and protect them from the hot Miami sun. If the guests of the Video Music Awards want to look as if they spent all day sunning on South Beach, they can; they received a complete Mystic Tan Experience Package. Not enough skin pampering for you? Then take a gander at Philosophy's two kits for the face, also included in the bag. There is "The Perfect Kit" and "The Microdelivery Peel." Schwarzkzopf Professional OSIS and bc bonacure hair products were also gifted to guests, along with a T3 ionic hairdryer to keep those celebrity locks looking shiny and fabulous.
Super exclusivity is a nice perk to celebrity, and to the lucky gift baggers. Gift bag recipients found a membership to Sony's by invitation only, VIP shopping program, Cierge, and an Emilio Pucci cosmetic case created exclusively for the VMAs. Initium sunglasses, worn by the likes of Perry Farrel and George Clinton, are music-inspired sunglasses, and, along with Versace, the official eyewear of the 2004 VMAs. Versace threw in a pair of their sassy unisex wrap-around sunglasses. They're available in a color called "pillar-box red." Versace knows what's chic.
Since we're talking Haute couture lines, Givenchy contributed both their Very Irresistible Givenchy perfume for women and their Givency pour Homme Blue Label for the men. J-Lo will be receiving her own perfume, Glow, in her gift bag. Her line also provided a charm bracelet to get people excited about her new line of perfume coming out in 2005. That wasn't the only charm bracelet in the bag; guests of the VMAs also received an "All That's Charming" charm bracelet. Stars could choose from a diamond star charm bracelet or a musical note.

Newlywed and rolling in VMA gift bag loot.
Need a sugar buzz? Wonka provided a years worth of unlimited candy. You know what these gift certificate looks like? A golden ticket! Don't you love it? There was a solid chocolate moonman by Kron Chocolatiers in the bag, in case that doesn't satiate the sweet tooth of guests. Also inspired by the VMA moonman was Paul Frank, who designed a custom moonman suitcase with all the interior parts (jacket holder and dirty clothes bag) that glows in the dark.
Zoo York gifted a skateboard, which I'm sure Avril Lavigne and her skater boy loved. But don't worry, Cinderella Story's Hillary Duff can have some real glass slippers. Lady Lanell's platform crystal sandals were also given out to the guests. What else glittered? Jewelry designer Frank Reubel included his Martini pendant designed by his son, Alex Reubel. There was even more Swarovski crystal in this bag, this time hand woven into a one of a kind Noemie scarf. Celebrities who couldn't get enough of their Noemie scarf could head down to Noemie New York with their gift certificate to get another one-of-a-kind creation. Share!
If all that partying in Miami leaves the guests of VMAs wanting to spend a night in, they can play with their Mattel "Party Time" games package including such games as "Scene It?" and "Outburst," among others. Ocean Drive Magazine went all out, offering guests two night stays at any Ian Schrager hotel, and dinner for two at any Jeffrey Chodorow restaurant. Ocean Drive also threw in the Ultimate Pampering Kit and a subscription for each person, so they can stay informed on the happenings in South Florida. Not enough Miami love for you? Then check out the autographed copy of "The South Beach Diet" also in the bag.

Andre 3000 of Outkast, your would-be cool best friend.
All this great stuff makes me rethink the goody bags I used to give out at my birthday parties; nail polish and a mini chocolate bar suddenly seems so lame. If you are jealous of all the fabulous loot that this year's MTV Video Music Awards received, then you'll just have to try harder: write a song, make a video, and get it on MTV next year. The hard work will pay off when you're sitting at a RockResort, decked out in a JLo charm bracelet, reading Ocean Drive and munching on a giant chocolate moonman.
